Amanda Marple

is general manager of FIRSTHAND Cooperative. She recently completed her Master’s degree studying the democratization of university foodscapes. She is committed to building just and sustainable economies through cooperative
profit sharing models. Amanda brings extensive experience in campus based organizing and
volunteer development to the leadership team.


Bradley Wilson

is an Associate Professor of Geography and the Director of the Food Justice
Lab at West Virginia University. Bradley brings 20 years of experience in the fair trade movement,
cooperative development and specialty coffee industry to the leadership team.

is the owner of 19 Coffee in Washington, Pennsylvania and has been the exclusive coffee
roasting partner of FIRSTHAND Cooperative for the past six years. David brings extensive experience in
the specialty coffee industry and strategic vision to develop cutting edge coffee products.


Joshua Lohnes

is a PhD candidate researching the politics of access to humanitarian food in West Virginia. He is the founder of Conscious Harvest Cooperative, a gardening collective working with local anti-hunger organizations to close food access gaps in Monongalia County. Joshua brings extensive experience in commercial sales, cooperative development and project management to the leadership team.


Nick Eplin

is the director of coffee operations, and brings extensive retail coffee experience to FIRSTHAND. He works to source, roast and deliver our coffees, and provides barista training  and other coffee related services to our business partners.
